IIT JAM 2026 Response Sheet Released; Check How To Download and What’s Next
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the response sheets and provisional answer keys for the candidates who have appeared for the Joint Admission Test for the Masters (JAM) 2026. The examination was conducted on February 11. The download link is available on the official portal, joaps.iitb.ac.in. The JAM 2026 examination was held for seven subjects: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics. Candidates who appeared for the entrance test can now check their response sheets by visiting the official website. The results are expected to be announced on March 20 at the official portal. In case of a tie, the ranking will be determined based on the ratio of positive to negative marks, followed by NAT scores, MSQ scores, and finally the candidate’s date of birth, with preference given to the older applicant. Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to access and download their response sheets. Step 1– Go to the official website joaps.iitb.ac.in. Step 2- Click on the “JAM 2026 response sheet” link on the homepage. Step 3– Enter your email ID /enrolment ID/ mobile number or registration number. The response sheet allows candidates to evaluate how they performed in the exam. By matching their answers with the official answer key. Aspirants can estimate their expected scores and assess their chances of securing admission to postgraduate programmes at IITs and other participating institutes. Through JAM 2026, nearly 3,000 seats in IITs and about 2,300 seats in IISc will be filled via a centralised counselling process for the 2026–27 academic session. The institute has also confirmed that there will be no additional selection stages such as interviews or aptitude tests for admission. Admissions to programmes like MSc, MSc Tech, MS (Research), MSc-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD dual degree across participating institutes will be offered based on JAM scores.
