(Sansad TV via PTI Photo) Amid an escalating political spat within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), MP Raghav Chadha has fired back at his own party over recent claims that he has not raised Punjab-related issues in Parliament. He shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying that Punjab is not just his home, but also "duty, soil and soul". "To my colleagues in AAP who were forced to issue videos saying that "Raghav Chadha failed to raise Punjab's issues in Parliament", here is a small trailer...Picture Abhi Baaki Hai. Punjab isn't a talking point for me. It is my home, my duty, my soil, my soul." He pointed out that he had raised several issues as an MP related to Punjab, including advocating for the Nankana Sahib corridor, legal guarantees for farmers' Minimum Support Price (MSP), addressing vanishing groundwater in Punjab, and recommending Bharat Ratna recognition for Bhagat Singh among others. Now, Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj has claimed that Raghav Chadha has deleted his earlier posts on X that were critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. He also claimed that the Rajya Sabha MP's posts shared by AAP leaders had also disappeared from his account. Describing the move as "more than a routine clean up", the Delhi AAP chief said Chadha had "reshaped his public profile on the platform". "Raghav Chadha, who was once a sharp critic of Modi and the BJP, has completely erased his old image and presented a new, polished version of himself like one put through a washing machine," Bharadwaj said. The controversy began following Raghav Chadha's removal from Aam Aadmi Party's deputy leader post in Rajya Sabha, earlier this week, following which, the MP slammed the party, accusing them of silencing his voice. The AAP has accused Chadha of shying away from raising his voice against PM Modi and the Centre in Parliament and instead engaging in "soft PR". Chadha, however, has dismissed the allegations as "lies" and asserted that he went to Parliament to raise people's issues and not create ruckus.
