New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the BRICS Summit 2026 being held in the national capital. Traffic diversions and regulated movement will be implemented on key routes across Delhi today, September 12, from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. The BRICS Summit is being held from September 11 to 13 at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. According to the traffic advisory, traffic movement will be regulated at 22 points, while more than 35 roads across the national capital are likely to be affected. The Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time. Citizens have also been advised to use public transport, especially the Metro, wherever feasible. The Traffic Police has asked commuters to follow designated diversion routes and instructions issued by traffic personnel at affected locations. Emergency and essential-service vehicles will be given priority passage during the regulated movement. Commuters travelling through central Delhi and areas around Bharat Mandapam and Pragati Maidan have been advised to factor in additional travel time and avoid unnecessary journeys through the affected routes during the advisory period.
