(Image: Facebook) An Indiana food truck owner says he's the victim of censorship after state officials pulled his business from a weekly government market because of a tagline some people found too suggestive. Scott Sims owns Smash Daddy's Burgers, Fries, Etc., and for years his brand has carried the tagline "You'll love our meat in your mouth." He posted an email on Facebook that he says came directly from a state official, informing him that officials had received multiple complaints about the phrase. According to Sims, that email also told him he was being ordered to cancel two upcoming appearances at the statehouse market. Speaking with the Indiana Capital Chronicle, a report referenced by The Independent, Sims explained that the tagline has been part of his business for close to two decades. He first used it at his old restaurant, Between the Bun, and later carried it over to his food truck when it launched in late 2023. He told the outlet that complaints over the years have been rare, saying he could count them on one hand across two decades of business. In a Facebook post from July 10, Sims expressed frustration over the sudden shift, writing that his truck had gone from being one of the most popular vendors at the market to being cut entirely. He questioned why the slogan became an issue only now, despite two years of serving at the same location without any trouble.
