Mirzapur is a successful flagship series franchise on Amazon Prime Video. Now, the film adaptation of the first season is about to release in theatres. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared Mirzapur: The Movie with an 'A' certificate. The craze for the film has hiked ticket prices to Rs 1800 in Delhi and Rs 1140 in Mumbai. According to BookMyShow, Cinepolis: Nexus Seawoods, Nerul, Navi Mumbai is selling tickets in the range of Rs 300 and Rs 1020. The most expensive ticket there is costing Rs 1140. On the other hand, the most expensive ticket sold at INOX Megaplex: Sky City Mall, Borivali, is worth Rs 880. Tickets costing Rs 580 are sold out at INOX: R-City, Ghatkopar. Noida's DLF Mall is selling tickets for a late-night show at Rs 1800. The cheapest ticket at Cinepolis: Pacific NSP2, Delhi is worth Rs 240. The most expensive ticket at PVR: Select City Walk, Delhi is Rs 900, whereas the cheapest costs Rs 340. According to CBFC's website, Mirzapur: The Movie's synopsis reads, "The battle for Mirzapur's throne escalates as old enemies resurface and new threats emerge. Blood debts must be paid while power-hungry contenders fight to control the city's violent underworld." During the film's promotions, Ali Fazal told that the audience needs to revisit the first season of the Mirzapur franchise and watch until episode 6. The movie's story begins from that point. The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment.
