Delhi Traffic Advisory
New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for Saturday, September 5, in view of the motorcade rehearsal being conducted ahead of the BRICS Summit 2026 in the national capital. According to the advisory, traffic regulations, diversions and controlled movement will remain in place across several key routes between 10 am and 4 pm. The traffic police said more than 35 roads across Delhi will be affected, with 22 diversion points identified to regulate the movement of vehicles during the rehearsal. The affected routes include Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, Tees January Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Mathura Road, Moti Lal Nehru Marg and Dr Zakir Hussain Marg. Other roads where traffic movement may be regulated include Brig Hoshiar Singh Marg, Africa Avenue Road, Shanti Path, Janpath, Ashoka Road, Barakhamba Road, Tolstoy Marg, Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Niti Marg and Panchsheel Marg. The advisory also covers Kemal Ataturk Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Press Enclave Road, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Josef Broz Tito Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, among other routes. The Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly, avoid the affected routes wherever possible and follow the directions of traffic personnel deployed along the routes.
