Two shopping centres were also struck, adding to a series of Russian attacks on commercial areas and markets. The attacks also disrupted electricity supplies across several regions. Ukraine’s Energy Ministry said repair crews had restored power to more than one million people who lost electricity following the strikes, although the number of people still without power remained unclear. Romaniuk said around 370,000 people in Volyn were temporarily left without electricity on Friday morning, with approximately 100,000 subsequently reconnected. Lutsk Mayor Andriy Razumovskyi warned that the blackout in the regional capital could last at least 24 hours. Drone attacks continued throughout the day in Volyn, striking a customs terminal and setting around 10 trucks on fire in Kovel, a town located on a major road connecting Kyiv with Poland. In the northern city of Sumy, close to the front line, a shopping centre was among the sites hit. Another major shopping centre and other locations were struck by drones in Rivne region. Regional Governor Oleksandr Koval said one person was killed and seven others injured in the Rivne attacks.
