Musher Khan created history for Mumbai vs Haryana |Courtesy - Mumbai Cricket Association Musheer Khan created history for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy during their third match of the ongoing 2026-27 season against Haryana, which is taking place from October 26 to 30 at the Sharad Pawar Academy at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai with a stunning all-round show, which has put the 42-time champions on the cusp of a third straight victory with a bonus point. Musheer, who is the younger brother of capped Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, was the star of the show for the Siddhesh Led-side with the bat as they posted a massive total of 430 in the first innings. The 21-year-old walked out to bat at number three and made 109 runs off 185 balls. This was the fourth century of the youngster's career in first-class cricket. Later, he was the pick of the bowlers as Haryana were bowled out for just 270 runs, leading to a massive 160-run lead for Mumbai, which ensured they could enforce the follow-on. The left-arm spinner finished with figures of 6-85. His first five wickets were of players batting in the top six. Musheer has become the second player in history to score a century and take a six-wicket haul in the same match for Mumbai. The only other instance of the rare feat occurring came 77 years ago in 1949, when Dattu Phadkar produced a brilliant show with bat and ball in the quarter-final of the 1948-49 season against Madras. Overall, Musheer is only the sixth player to complete the double of a five-wicket haul in the same match. The last instance came in 1991 by Indian cricket legend Ravi Shastri.
