Diwali Weekend 2026: Festive styling tips from celebrity wardrobes (Credit: Instagram) If you're still down and out about what to wear over the Diwali weekend, it's highly unlikely that another Pinterest deep dive is going to relieve you of your dilemma. Scroll through these fresh celebrity looks instead to gather some last minute inspiration. Alia Bhatt hasn't served a style miss in a while now making her Instagram a gold mine to swipe through if you're still running around in search of inspiration for the festive weekend. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the 'wifey' here wore a stunning raw silver blouse by Rimple and Harpreet, decked out in Rah jewels, paired with a pure linen sari in a soft, sage blue by Anavila, for the Ramayana Screening. The kohl-lined makeup was modest letting the one-of-a-kind blouse thoroughly steal the spotlight. Nupur Sanon's Karwa Chauth look is actually quite a cool and casual way to spend your Diwali weekend if comfort is what you're going for. On the face of it, Nupur is dressed in a simple red and gold patiala suit, paired with a striking sky blue organza dupatta - fairly simple and straightforward and honestly perfect if you just want to tuck your legs in to play cards and wind down with friends. However, the custom made Dolly J piece stands out for the stunning shoulder details which uses oxidised kundan work to create makeshift straps which double up as body jewellery - a niche detail to look for during your last minute shopping jaunts. There's nothing quite 'innovative about a sharara but the way Rasha Thadani carries herself in this one, will definitely have you considering throwing one on over the weekend. The blue and gold ensemble feels fairly simple but the visual impact comes from the stellar tailoring of the backless kurta which makes the flair and twirl of the sharara itself feel even more royal. Your cue that the fit, is the outfit. Here she wears a soft red Ritika Mirchandani saree, embroidered over with white - but of course, it's a saree with a twist. Instead of the pleats trailing down the front, there's a sharply tailored thigh-high slit. Interestingly, the hem of the silhouette happens to gather to the bottom and fall like pleats, making this a rather interesting look to draw inspiration from. And finally, for the more minimalist ones out there, this Studio22 look from Mira Kapoor perfectly captures how monochrome does not need to feel boring. The deep royal green on silken textures is balanced out by a pearl-laden blouse, also in the exact same shade. Mira wholly commits to her greens, opting for emerald drop earrings and manages a serve that doesn't feel monotonous. Which of these aesthetics are you leaning to for the Diwali weekend?
