Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal is gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports drama, Gatta Kusthi 2. A sequel to his 2022 film Gatta Kusthi, the movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 3, 2026. It features Vishnu and his co-stars Aishwarya Lekshmi reprising the characters of Veera and Keerthi. Amid this, Vishnu shared his health update with fans on social media. The actor opened up about suffering from an autoimmune condition for the last three to four years. Vishal went on to share that the medications he's been taking has some visible side effects on him. Taking to his official X account, Vishnu thanked everyone for the love and concern they've shown him through comments and messages. The Gatta Kusthi 2 actor further spoke about his health, stating that his face looks tired because of autoimmune condition. In his tweet, the actor shared he has been taking prescribed medication for it. However, it has some side effects like bloating. "This treatment is medically necessary, and my health has to come first. That said, your love, the work I believe in, and my responsibility towards everyone who has worked tirelessly on Gatta Kusthi 2 have kept me going. That's why I've continued showing up for the film promotions and for all of you," he wrote. He further hoped that his health will improve soon. In fact, the concern of his fans has encouraged Vishnu to take better of himself. The 41-year-old stated that he is grateful for every message and support he's received. And as he steps into the final week of promotions, Vishnu is filled with positivity and excitement. "I can't wait for you all to experience Gatta Kusthi 2 in theatres on 3rd July. Much love Vishnuu Vishal," he concluded the note. Apart from Vishnu and Aishwarya, Gatta Kusthi 2 also star Karunas, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Yogi Babu, and others. The sequel revolves around Veera becoming a devoted husband and a doting father to his girl. On the other hand, Keerthi pursues national wrestling glory and a government job.
