A bus carrying around 50 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims met with an accident near S Mor, Hariganiwan in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district early Monday morning. The bus (Registration No. AR 11 D 5655), travelling from Baltal to Srinagar, reportedly lost control at around 5:30 AM and plunged nearly 20 metres into a ditch alongside the Sind River. At least 39 people sustained injuries. Personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a swift rescue operation and successfully evacuated all the passengers.
