The patriotic ride of Rohit Achrekar and his companions, which began from Dombivali to Kargil with a message of respect and gratitude for the Indian soldiers, concluded in Dombivali on Saturday. This journey, which began under the "Ek Bandhan, Rakshabandhan" initiative, concluded with participation in the Dahi Handi festival, considered the hallmark of Dombivali. Rohit Achrekar's "Way to Cause Riders Club" has been running the "Ek Bandhan, Rakshabandhan" campaign for the past 20 years. This initiative, which expresses respect and gratitude for the Indian soldiers, has been supported for the past few years by BJP Maharashtra State President Ravindra Chavan's "Dombivalikar Ek Sanskruti Parivar." This year's ride was dedicated to the spirit of "Shiv Rashtra - Nation First, Veer Paramount." The expedition covered over 2,252 kilometers from Dombivali to Kargil. On August 15th, a massive 1,000-square-foot tricolor was hoisted in Kargil. Additionally, 42 12-square-foot tricolors were hoisted on Vijaypath to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the country. After Kargil, the bike ride reached remote areas like Leh, Turtuk, Pangong Lake, Hanle, Umling La, and Lamayuru. On the occasion of the country's 80th Independence Day, an 80-square-foot tricolor was hoisted at these locations to express respect for the national flag. Throughout the journey, the message of patriotism, respect for the tricolor, and gratitude to the Indian soldiers was conveyed. The most emotional moment of this journey occurred on August 28 in Kargil. Rohit Achrekar and his companions celebrated Rakshabandhan with Indian soldiers and tied Rakhi on their wrists. During this, respect and gratitude were expressed towards the soldiers. This moment, which strengthened the bond of affection and trust between soldiers and citizens, was one of the special memories of the journey. This patriotic journey, which began in Kargil and passed through various difficult areas, returned to Dombivali on Saturday. After hoisting the tricolor at the border, paying respect to the national flag in remote areas, and celebrating Rakshabandhan with Indian soldiers, the journey concluded with participation in the Dahi Handi festival in Dombivali. This journey, which carried the message of respect for the tricolor and patriotism from Kargil to Dombivali, became a matter of pride for the city residents. This initiative by Rohit Achrekar and his colleagues proved to be an inspiring effort to awaken the spirit of patriotism among the youth and increase respect for Indian soldiers.
