Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has pushed back against growing fears around AI. Speaking at a Goldman Sachs conference on Thursday, Huang said the recent focus on AI-related cybersecurity threats is partly related to companies preparing to launch new products, according to a report by Axios. "The the reason why there's so much conversation today about cybersecurity is because the industry is getting ready to launch some products," Huang was quoted as saying. His comments come at a time when concerns around the potential risks of advanced AI have grown following warnings from researchers and AI industry insiders. Huang has consistently taken a more optimistic view of AI compared with some researchers and tech leaders who have warned about the possibility of AI systems becoming increasingly difficult to control. Earlier this year, Huang also dismissed predictions that AI could lead to big consequences for humanity.
