Caught on CCTV: Tiger Shroff Firing Accused Rush to Board Train at Surat | WATCH
Mumbai to Kota in Hours: How the Tiger Shroff Firing Accused Fled CCTV footage from Surat railway station has emerged showing the three accused in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff rushing to board a train towards Kota, where they were eventually apprehended by the police on Monday. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have deferred the departure of the three accused to Mumbai due to security concerns, with the suspects currently being held at Railway Colony Police Station in Kota. The area outside the police station has been heavily secured, with a large police contingent and commandos deployed. The station has effectively been turned into a fortress, with the police likely to transport the accused to Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday. The footage, accessed exclusively by Times Now, captures the urgency with which the three men attempt to catch the train. The visuals offer a glimpse into their movements following the October 18 firing incident and raise questions about whether their alleged escape route was planned in advance or whether they were making a last-minute attempt to flee Mumbai. Tiger Shroff arrived at Jamnabai Narsee Ground, a football turf in Mumbai's Juhu area, at around 3 pm on Sunday, October 18, as part of his regular routine. Between 5 pm and 5:30 pm, the actor played football and interacted with fans at the venue. At around 7 pm, three motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at the actor's car near Pushpa Park in Juhu. The accused fled the spot on a motorcycle following the attack. Shroff was subsequently seen rushing towards Nanavati Hospital in his car along with his injured driver. Investigators began reconstructing the suspects' movements using CCTV footage from the area. Cameras near the football ground reportedly captured the assailants, while videos recorded by fans who had gathered to see the actor also proved significant. One such video reportedly captured the faces of two suspects, helping the Mumbai Police identify them. According to the sequence of events emerging from the investigation, the accused reached Andheri West railway station at around 8 pm after fleeing the Juhu area. They subsequently travelled towards Vasai railway station, where they are believed to have boarded the Pune–Jaipur Express at around 10 pm to leave Mumbai. The suspects were later captured in CCTV footage at Surat railway station. The newly surfaced visuals show them rushing to board a train towards Kota, raising questions about the urgency of their movements and whether their travel plans had been finalised beforehand. Police tracked the suspects' movements through CCTV footage and other leads overnight. The investigation eventually led officers to Kota in Rajasthan, where the three accused were detained and arrested on Monday morning. Mumbai Police registered an FIR against three unidentified persons at around 4 am on Monday, October 19, under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Police teams continued analysing CCTV footage and tracing the suspects' alleged escape route through the night. By around 10 am on Monday, investigators had tracked their movements towards Rajasthan. The three accused were apprehended in Kota at approximately 11 am, with the local police acting on information shared by their Mumbai counterparts. However, their transfer to Mumbai has been deferred for the time being. Citing security concerns, the Mumbai Police decided against moving the accused at night. All three remain at Railway Colony Police Station in Kota, where heavy police deployment and commandos have been stationed outside the premises. The police are likely to begin the transfer to Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday, although the exact departure time has not been confirmed.
