The hosts, who are behind 0-2 in the five-match series, will have a difficult assignment as they attempt to maintain their aspirations following back-to-back losses in Christchurch, on Tuesday, October 27. Henry will stay in Christchurch before joining the New Zealand ODI team in Auckland on November 2, while Ferguson will travel to Auckland on Sunday to rejoin the team for the fourth and fifth T20Is. Ferguson also left the field as a precaution, while Henry bowled just two overs in the second T20I. "Those two are being assessed. They'll go for some scans on Tuesday after the public holiday. We'll have some more information as to where things stand. Obviously, like always, we're just hoping for the best. That'll allow for the quickest turnaround," head coach Rob Walter said in a video shared by New Zealand Cricket (NZC). "It's been a competitive start to the T20 series with two close games and plenty more cricket to come. We're very fortunate with the depth in the squad to be able to call upon different players to help manage our pacers' workloads and to try and ensure they're best placed to perform for the team for all the cricket coming up," he added. During a hectic international summer, New Zealand will rely on the depth of their team to control the workloads of its fast bowlers. Josh Clarkson will join the team in Auckland for the final two games, and Blair Tickner will join the squad for the next three T20Is. Before rejoining the New Zealand A team at Lincoln University on Wednesday, Matt Fisher will go to Wellington to cover for the third T20I. After Tuesday's game, Kyle Jamieson will stay in Wellington and play for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy second round on October 31 at the Basin Reserve before returning to the national squad for the ODI series. In order to stop India from winning the series with two games remaining, New Zealand will need to play well overall in Wellington. Eden Park in Auckland will host the fourth T20I on October 30, while Hamilton will host the fifth on November 1. After losing both T20Is in Christchurch by four wickets, the hosts will be keen to improve. India chased down the mark with two balls remaining after New Zealand scored 225/4 in the series' opening match on October 22. New Zealand reached 180/5 in the second T20I on October 24, but India won by four wickets again, this time with one ball left.
