The capital's luxury hotel, played host to an evening celebrating Taste of Shangri-La 2026, the group's global culinary initiative bringing together signature dining destinations across Europe, Canada, India, Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. Featuring specially curated menus across more than 25 restaurants and bars, the October edition celebrates diverse culinary traditions and regional flavours. At Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, the initiative brought together two distinct dining destinations, Sorrento and Shang Palace, spotlighting Italian and Cantonese cuisine respectively. The evening began on a fragrant note, with the aromas of jasmine and mogra filling the air, followed by a traditional floral garland welcome that added a touch of Indian hospitality. What followed was an evening of conversations, thoughtfully presented dishes and inventive cocktails. The cocktail menu was another highlight, featuring pairings designed to complement different courses. Flower Garden brought delicate jasmine-infused notes, while Common Ground balanced umami, sweetness and creamy textures. Purana Legacy offered a richer combination of fat-washed whisky and charred coconut, while The Welcome Ritual and Ruby Fizz brought lighter, refreshing and fruit-forward notes to the table. A personal standout was a gin-based creation featuring pineapple, floating chocolate shards and coconut slices, an unexpectedly delightful combination of tropical sweetness and rich chocolate.
