NRI candidates don't need Aadhar Card to submit their JEE Main applications The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified important details for NRI students who are currently filling JEE Main 2027 session 1 online applications. NTA has clarified that interested students will no longer need Aadhar Card, and they can instead use Passport as a document. However, students should note that this was specified for NRI (Non-Resident Indian) students. "You can now use passport to complete the application process. In case you need to submit fresh application then you may refer to public notice dated 28th and 30th October at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in," NTA tweeted on their official X account. This clarification was provided by NTA in reponse to a query posed by a candidate on X. The candidate had asked if "For a NRI candidate who doesnt have Aadhar, PAN or Driving license, how can he register. Can he register with Passport" Without using Aadhaar, candidates can register by clicking “Sign Up” option on registration page. Step 1: Enter mobile number and complete OTP verification. Step 2: Select Identity Type (Aadhaar / PAN / Driving License). [Note: Registration is not Aadhaar-dependent. You may use any available identity option.] Step 3: Fill in details: Name, DOB, Gender, Username, and PIN. Step 4: Click “Verify” and proceed to the authorization page. This clarification comes few days after the NTA started the registration process for JEE Main 2027 Session 1.
