After Aiyar, Navjot Kaur Sidhu Hits Out At Rahul Gandhi: 'You Don't Deserve That Chair'
Rahul Gandhi speaks well, but his words and actions don’t match, she said. After senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar launched a blistering attack on the top leadership, former party leader Navjot Kaur has hit out at Rahul Gandhi, asserting that he "does not deserve the chair". Speaking to ANI, Navjot Kaur fired a salvo at Rahul Gandhi, saying that he was "unaware" of how his party was being "destroyed" by the Congress leadership in Punjab. She also shared her efforts to get in touch with him over the last 8 months, all of which were denied. "He talks good. He talks sense. But what he does and says is very different. For the past 8 months, I have been asking for a time to tell him that your people, your president, are not doing justice in Punjab. he is killing Congress in Punjab. I am asking you for a seat to tell you that your party is being destroyed in Punjab. You need to look at people under you. And if you don't know what is happening, you do not deserve the chair," Navjot Kaur told ANI. Earlier, Mani Shankar Aiyar had hit out at Gandhi while speaking to Times Now and said, "If I’m being kicked out of Congress, it’s because I am a Gandhian, a Nehruvian, a Rajivian - but I’m not a Rahulian." He also called Congress a "herd of competing scorpions." Navjot Kaur Sidhu quit the party this month, while hitting out at its Punjab unit chief, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, for allegedly "damaging" the organisation and calling him "the most horrific, incapable, corrupt president ever". Last month, Kaur was suspended by the Congress from its primary membership after she sparked a political row with her "Rs 500 crore for the chief minister's chair" remark. She is the wife of former Punjab Congress chief and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu. "RAJA WARRING, The most horrific, incapable, corrupt president ever. You saved yourself from jail by co partnering with CM to destroy Congress. You have sold the party for petty gains with a understanding with AAP. You had a suspension letter ready for me but what about nearly 12 senior Congress leaders who were busy in working with (Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh) MAJITHIA to harm NAVJOT. And you rewarded all of them with big posts for defeating NAVJOT," Kaur alleged in a post on X. Targeting Warring, she said, "I have enough proofs to destroy you but I am not interested because I myself have quit Congress where no promising leader is heard." Kaur also accused Warring of planting people on her seat with an intention to ensure her poll defeat.
