Legendary singer Asha Bhosle may no longer be with us, but her unforgettable voice will continue to echo in the hearts of generations. The iconic playback queen, celebrated for classics like Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko, Dil Cheez Kya Hai, Yeh Mera Dil, and In Aankhon Ki Masti, passed away on Sunday (April 12) due to multiple organ failure. She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital following a chest infection and extreme fatigue. Her last rites were held on April 13 and attended by several Bollywood celebrities, political leaders, cricketers, and other prominent figures. Family members and fans are yet to come to terms with the loss. Amid the grief, granddaughter Zanai Bhosle has been sharing emotional posts. Zanai shared a close bond with her "Asha aai" and often posted glimpses of their singing sessions, daily life, and light-hearted moments together. The loss has left her deeply devastated. At the funeral, she was seen breaking down in tears while saying goodbye to her aaji. Since the passing, she has been sharing special memories of Asha ji on social media. On Wednesday, she posted a video of herself dancing on a balcony while a crowd gathered below, hoping for a glimpse of her. Sharing it, she wrote, "She would want us to celebrate just the way she celebrated life." A day after Asha’s funeral, Zanai Bhosle woke up heartbroken and overwhelmed with emotions. She said that she had lost her "partner in crime, best friend, a person who completed my entire world and the first person to hold me when I was born." Zanai wrote: "These are just a few things to remember her by, but to all those who have felt this loss with me, remember that she was and is the definition of LIFE and LAUGHTER, so if you have to remember her only remember her that way! She’s looking down on us all, especially her family and I believe she’s going to come back to me very soon, because that is what she promised me and told me always! I have lost the love of my life and there is no bigger grief in the world so I urge you guys to live life to your fullest and celebrate her that way and celebrate her life!" On Monday, the Padma Vibhushan awardee was given a state funeral with full honours. Tributes are still pouring in on social media.
