As a fan it became clear why he's able to cover any genre in any language. He prioritises telling a story over everything else,” Menon stated. As for jumping to a commercial Hindi flick following his tryst in Hollywood, Menon signed off, “In both roles, intimidation was a factor in the character. In Diabolical, I had to use physicality and emotion and in Due Season my size was the bigger factor. Bhooth Bangla brings all of those elements together.” A fantasy horror comedy, BhoothBangla is Priyadarshan's second Hindi-language horror outing following the 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which also was helmed by Akshay Kumar, alongside Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja. Bhooth Bangla was initially scheduled for release on April 2, but was then postponed to May 15. The film was then preponed once to April 10, before once again being postponed a week later to April 17.
