No Vision, No Limits: Srinagar Girl Scores 95% in CBSE Class 10 (Source: PTI, AI Enhanced) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced Class 10 results on April 16, 2026, with 93.70% students clearing the high school Phase-1 examinations. Among the top scorers was a visually impaired student from Srinagar who inspired millions by achieving a remarkable feat of scoring 95 marks in the CBSE Class 10 examinations. Zainab Bilal secured 475 marks out of 500, along with a perfect score in Computer Science. She wishes to pursue computer applications in the future. "Since my childhood, I have wanted to get into the information technology sector. I intend to do my bachelor's degree in computer applications," said Zainab, who became one of the first visually impaired students to write the CBSE examination using a laptop, without the assistance of a scribe, according to PTI reports. The 16-year-old Zainab did her high school at the Learning Resource Centre of Delhi Public School in Srinagar and credited her mentors and institution for their support and guidance. "I am thankful to Vijay Dhar (owner of the school) and my teachers for their support. I do not have words to thank my parents, who have been the biggest support of my life," she said to PTI Sending a message to the parents of physically disadvantaged children, Zainab asked them not to give up on their kids because of their physical inabilities. "If I can do it, anyone can. They just need your support," she added. What’s interesting is that academics are not the only interest of Zainab. She is also fond of the co-curricular activities being organised at the institution. At the age of 12, she interviewed Aamir Khan and Omar Abdullah, which was later broadcast on Radio DPS, a radio station operated by the students of the school. Zainab’s tenacity and resilience show that even physical challenges cannot deter you from achieving success if you truly want to attain something. Throughout the session, she remained consistent, and the result is in front of everyone. When the result was declared, both her parents and mentors couldn’t contain their happiness and were extremely proud of Zainab’s milestone.
