NEET 2026 Prep Pressure? NTA Reminds Students to Take Care of Mental Health
NTA reminds NEET UG aspirants to keep their mental health in check, shares free online counselling resources. NEET 2026: As the pressure builds ahead of NEET UG 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important message for aspirants: your mental health matters as much as your exam performance. In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), the NTA reminded students that no examination is more important than their life, urging them to prioritise their emotional well-being during this time. The upcoming NEET UG exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2026. To support students dealing with stress, anxiety, or overwhelming pressure, the agency has highlighted the government-backed Tele-MANAS service. This 24×7 national mental health helpline offers free and confidential counselling in multiple languages. In its message, NTA emphasised that students are not alone in their journey. It encouraged aspirants to speak to someone if they feel overwhelmed, reinforcing that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. The agency’s advisory comes at a time when lakhs of candidates across the country are preparing for one of India’s most competitive medical entrance exams. With expectations running high, such reminders aim to reduce stress and promote a healthier approach to exam preparation. Mental health experts have consistently highlighted the importance of balancing study routines with adequate rest, emotional support, and self-care practices. NTA’s outreach aligns with a broader push to ensure students remain mentally resilient during exam season. As NEET UG 2026 approaches, aspirants are advised to stay focused, maintain a healthy routine, and reach out for help whenever needed. The NTA authorities had earlier announced that hall tickets for the upcoming NEET UG 2026 exam will be released on April 26. It is expected that students who are appearing for the medical entrance examination this year will soon be able to access their admit cards by visiting neet.nta.nic.in.
