CBSE Launches IPS Portal For 2026 Exam Payments; Schools Asked To Freeze Data By May 6
The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched the Integrated Payment System (IPS) portal to facilitate the release of final payments to exam centres and functionaries involved in the 2026 board examinations. The move comes as part of the board’s efforts to streamline post-examination processes and ensure timely disbursal of dues. According to the official notice, the IPS Centre Final 2026 portal has been made live for schools to complete data entry and freeze relevant details. This system incorporates revised rates for remuneration, conveyance, refreshments, and other related expenses, which will be applicable for the 2026 board exams. The board had earlier indicated that updated rates would be implemented from this examination cycle. CBSE stated that the portal has been activated immediately after the declaration of Class 10 results, in line with its assurance to roll out IPS modules promptly after the completion of examination-related activities. The initiative is aimed at reducing delays and enhancing transparency in payment processing for exam centres and associated staff. All affiliated schools have been instructed to complete the required data entry within the stipulated timeline and freeze their submissions on the portal. The board has specifically advised schools to ensure that bank account details are entered accurately to avoid any payment failures. Principals have been asked to personally review all entries before final submission to prevent discrepancies. As per the schedule released by CBSE, schools can submit and freeze their data from April 22 to May 6, 2026. In case of failed transactions or errors, a refreezing window will be available from May 8 to May 15, 2026. The board has urged schools to adhere strictly to the timeline to enable smooth and timely release of payments. The introduction of the IPS portal is expected to simplify financial processes and improve efficiency in handling examination-related payments.
