Shubhangi Atre REVEALS Being Approached For Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa, Says 'Not Made For Such Shows' | EXCLUSIVEJun 26, 2026, 19:14 IST
Reality shows have become a way for television stars and celebrities to connect with their fans. From Ram Kapoor to Shivangi Joshi, several TV actors are reportedly set to enter Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa, which will stream on Netflix. Actress Shubhangi Atre’s name had also cropped up amid rumoured contestants. However, the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! star has revealed that she respectfully declined the offer after being approached for it. She said that she is not interested in such formats as she prefers staying away from fights and gossip. Atre, however, added that she would love to participate in dance reality shows or something like Khatron Ke Khiladi. When asked if she's set to enter the Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh-hosted show, she exclusively told Telly Talk India, "No, sorry, I am not made for such shows. I am not into fights and arguments. I respect them and enjoy watching them, but I cannot be a part of that." She further revealed, "A call did come to my manager, but I did not speak directly." Shubhangi said that she had decided not to participate in reality shows of that kind, including Salman Khan's Bigg Boss. She added that she would consider doing adventurous shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi or dance-based reality shows, as she is a trained dancer. However, she mentioned that she is a very private person who values her privacy. She further said that while she is there to entertain, such shows often involve a lot of gossiping and negativity, which she prefers to stay away from. Meanwhile, talking about her iconic sitcom going off-air, she said, "The reason, honestly, I don’t know why the show stopped or what happened, but from this show I received so much love from people. I cannot even describe how much love I got, and after I left, I saw the kind of response I received—so many DMs, so many messages, so much love—it is priceless. I am truly saying this, and nothing more is needed for an artist than this. If your work is getting love and respect, that is the biggest thing." She said that as long as she remains in the industry, she wants to maintain her dignity and respect and wishes people to remember her with love and admiration. She added that she hopes to leave behind a legacy of a small-town girl who pursued her dreams with positivity, love, and respect, which she feels she has achieved over 20 years by God’s grace and hopes will continue.
