Nikhil Bhat Lands Hollywood Debut, to Direct Jamie Foxx in Amazon's Deadlocked Nikhil Nagesh Bhat is set to make his Hollywood debut with Deadlocked, an action thriller starring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx. The project marks a new step in the director's career following the global success of Kill, which earned praise for its gritty action and intense storytelling. Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, Deadlocked will premiere on Prime Video, bringing Nikhil Bhat's unique filmmaking style to an international audience. Known for its brutal and high-octane action sequences, the film Kill marked a new space for for Dharma Productions, a banner traditionally associated with romantic dramas. According to Deadline, Deadlocked has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios and will stream worldwide on Prime Video. The action thriller follows a grieving former Marine serving jury duty whose life is turned upside down when a high-profile trial descends into chaos. The courtroom becomes the space of a deadly hostage crisis after the defendant's daughter seizes control of the building in a desperate attempt to free her father, forcing the former Marine back into action.
