The singer explained that she usually avoids responding to controversies because she does not want to amplify negativity, but felt compelled to speak out this time. She wrote, “I havent been addressing things lately as much because i feel it often fuels the darkness and hate, but this is something i feel called to speak about.” Lara added, “seeing this disgusting ai deepfake video of me that is spreading genuinely breaks my heart.” She also expressed disbelief that someone would create such content and fabricate a narrative involving her.
