An unverified claim about Chinese President Xi Jinping’s health has surfaced following his visit to New Delhi for the BRICS Summit, with Wanjun Xie, chairman of the China Democracy Party, alleging that Xi fainted during the summit and was subsequently flown back to China for emergency medical treatment. In a post on X, Xie claimed that Xi suffered a serious medical episode during the BRICS summit held in New Delhi and received emergency treatment from his accompanying medical team. He further alleged that the Chinese President returned to Beijing on a special flight and was subsequently taken to the Chinese PLA General Hospital, commonly known as Beijing 301 Hospital. The post went further, claiming that Xi had suffered a severe ischemic stroke and that doctors were assessing his condition. Xie also alleged that concerns over revealing Xi's health condition in India were among the reasons for his reported return to China. The post added that Xi Jinping feared that the Indian side might obtain information about his health and therefore he refused emergency treatment at an Indian hospital and instead took a special plane back to Beijing for care. "During the flight, as there were no conditions for surgery, the medical team could only administer conservative treatment to sustain Xi Jinping's life. As a result, he missed the golden window for emergency care and surgery. Even at Beijing's 301 Hospital, if Xi Jinping undergoes surgery for treatment, there is a high likelihood of severe sequelae," it added. However, there is no official confirmation of these claims. Neither the Chinese government nor Indian authorities have announced that Xi suffered a stroke, fainted or was hospitalised. In addition to this, it was claimed that due to Xi's health, the Beijing authorities are still unable to confirm whether the Chinese President can recover his health before the visit to the United States. It was also speculated that Xi Jinping's late September trip to the US might be cancelled if his condition doesn't improve. Xi attended the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi and returned to Beijing on September 13.
