It should be noted that not all, but only some schools have shifted to online classes Several schools and colleges located in the areas near the protest site in Delhi have shifted classes online, rescheduled parent-teacher meetings and postponed examinations scheduled for October 10 amid security concerns and disruption of metro services ahead of a proposed protest at Jantar Mantar. A PTI report stated that schools such as Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya, at Kasturba Gandhi Marg, and Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering in Paschim Vihar have issued notices ahead of the October 10 protests at Jantar Mantar. PTI claimed that Sardar Patel Vidyalaya has decided to conduct online classes for students from Classes 6 to 12 on Saturday (October 10). The school cited extensive barricading in the New Delhi area and concerns over students' safety. In addition to this, the school has also discontinued its stay-back facility for students on Friday. The inauguration of its Activity Week, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed, and a fresh dat is expected to be announced later. The revised schedule will be communicated to parents soon, the school said. Additionally, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya, at Kasturba Gandhi Marg, has also cancelled sports day practice and enrichment classes for classes 9 to 12, which were scheduled to be held tomorrow. Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering in Paschim Vihar has also postponed its mid-term examinations scheduled for Saturday to Monday, citing anticipated closure of entry and exit gates at several metro stations and possible disruption of services. In its notice, the college stated that the decision was taken in line with directives issued by the dean of the University School of Information, Communication and Technology (USICT) at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and the Joint Commissioner of Police, Transport Range, Delhi. The examination timings will remain the same on the rescheduled date. The Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology in Rohini has also postponed its mid-term examinations to October 12, following a communication from the Delhi Police regarding anticipated metro restrictions.
