The veteran actor never misses his weekly meet-and-greet with his fans outside his residence, Jalsa in Mumbai. But last Sunday’s fan meet was very different. Amitabh was seen meeting and greeting fans outside his house. He was standing inside a protective glass shield while his son Abhishek Bachchan was spotted overseeing the arrangements to ensure the safety of his father. Big B’s video generated a lot of chatter on social media, as on October 18, 2026, Tiger Shroff was attacked by his three gunmen in Juhu. The attack was eventually claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Amidst all, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has reacted to Amitabh Bachchan’s latest Sunday meet and expressed concerns over actors’ safety. The AICWA shared a four-page-long statement on their X handle, in which they mentioned ‘Bollywood Behind Bulletproof Glass’ after Amitabh Bachchan was forced to meet fans from behind bulletproof glass. The president of the film workers’ association, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and respectfully demanded security for the film personalities and their families. Moreover, he also demanded a complete crackdown on gangster and extortion networks with an NIA investigation. Suresh Shyamlal Gupta mentioned that the fast-track trials and strict punishments should be given to the guilty and restoration of law and order in Mumbai. AICWA’s tweet also read, “Mumbai must never go back to the underworld days of the 1990s. Bollywood must never work in the shadow of fear.” (sic) AICWA's Tweet On Amitabh Bachchan's Sunday Fan Meet.
