The University of Delhi (DU) has recorded 65,343 registrations for undergraduate admission for the academic session 2026-27 till June 29, under the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Interested candidates can register on the CSAS portal using their CUET UG 2026 application number. The first phase remains open to the candidates who have appeared in the CUET UG 2026 examination and sought to get admission to Delhi University. Admissions to 73 undergraduate programmes and over 100 BA programmes in combination across 67 colleges will be entirely on the basis of the CUET UG 2026 scores and the course-specific eligibility criteria. The schedule of the phase II seat allocation is expected to be out soon, and the third will be released on July 6. The candidates with allotted seats will be able to accept the seats between July 6 and 9. The last date for submitting the admission fee is July 11 for the third seat allocation list. The candidates are required to pay a certain amount as a one-time, non-refundable registration fee according to the category they belong to: Once the phase 1 CSAS process closes, phase II will begin, where the candidates will be required to fill in their preferred programmes and colleges, and also map out their CUET test papers with the subjects studied in Class 12. The University of Delhi has released the data from the previous year’s admission cycle. According to the data, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) emerged as the most-preferred college with 38,795 first-preference applications. Further, it was followed by Hindu College recording 31,901 first-preference applications and then Hansraj College with 15,902, followed by St. Stephen’s College with 12,413 and Miranda House with 11,403. The university’s data also revealed, History and Political Science combination was the most preferred BA programme combination, followed by Economics with Political Science and English with Economics. Then, the Humanities programmes accounted for the highest share of student preferences. The Delhi University has introduced API Setu integration, through which the details of the candidates, such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, photograph, and signature, are automatically read into the system to reduce errors during the registration process.
